let's talk burlesque

Pino Gomes - thematic picture

The Burlesque trend is going strong again. Maybe because we were all craving for the comeback of soft curves after decades of skinny models, or maybe we’ve had enough of emancipated superwomen: for sure burlesque striptease queens symbolize submission and servility.

Do you remember Lady Marmalade? Christina Aguilera does it again (trying to save her career from the flop of Bionic), this time with Cher in a Hollywood production. And pin-up symbol Dita Von Teese is currently at the top of her career at 38.

The difference between these modern day burlesque symbols and simple pole dancers is that these contemporary icons are unreachable and idealized, which brings them closer to a form of art.  I’m sure musicians, painters and designers won’t miss it. Say hello to ‘50s and corsets.

'asmall' society winter weekend in Gstaad

Travelers and website members from Tokyo, Vancouver, New York and München faced the snow and several flight delays to attend ASW’s Winter Weekend. The event was exclusively dedicated to la crème de la crème of the social network or for any member who could afford to buy a ticket and feel part of this privileged asmall society.

The palatial Gstaad Palace was closed to welcome the weekend’s guests. Great organization was provided from the whole team and the program was curated in every detail: from heliskiing and carriage rides to Christmas shopping and Poker School.
The entertainment for the gala evening included performances by The Little Dream Foundation, burlesque queen Zoe Scarlett, and singer and Ernesto Bertarelli’s wife Kirsty.
Journalists from Swiss and German magazines enjoyed writing pieces about different characters who arrived to support the event like the American actress Tara Reid (with new boy toy Bartholomew) and the German WAG Liliana Matthäus, as well as about the generous charity raffle for the Swiss Red Cross.

Quintessentially 10th anniversary

In the newly restored and sumptuous hotel Savoy on the River Thames, London came back in time in the 20's. Every international guest dressed up to the nines in the charleston style to attend the crowded standing dinner for Quintessentially's 10th anniversary on Monday.
The global private members' club, founded 10 years ago by Thomas Henry Parker Bowles along with other leading pupils of Eton College, has positioned its membership as a status symbol for the high society.
Guests such as actress Claire Forlani, singer Plan B and Holly Valance, among others, watched the delightful shows, life music and à-la-Dita Von Teese burlesque striptease.

no moral phenomena at all,
only a moral interpretation of phenomena'

F. Nietzsche

2. guiltinessless
3. what makes you feel better?

Does 'evil' signifies the same as 'individual', 'free', 'capricious', 'unusual','unforeseen', 'incalculable'?
